1. Introduction

Welcome to the "TTAR: Table Tennis" application! We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and what measures we take to protect it.

This Policy applies not only to the mobile application but also to its related services: the web interface and the Telegram bot. Throughout this document, they are collectively referred to as the "application" or the "service".

By using our application, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any of the provisions, please do not use the application.

2. What Data We Collect

To ensure the functionality of the application and improve the user experience, we may collect the following data:

• Approximate Location: We use data about your approximate location (e.g., based on GPS, Wi-Fi, or mobile network data) to facilitate finding nearby players. This data does not allow us to determine your exact location and is used solely to provide the application's functionality.
• Email Address or Telegram Account: We may request your email address or Telegram account for authentication, registration, and account recovery purposes.
• Avatar Image: We may use a profile picture (avatar) to make it easier for other players to find you and to personalize interactions within the application.
• Data from External Tournament Systems: If your profile in the application is linked to a profile in an external tournament or rating system (for example, the RTTF system; integration with other similar systems may be added in the future), we may obtain and store data associated with that profile: full name (last name, first name, and patronymic), year of birth, and city. This data is obtained from the corresponding external system and is used to correctly match you with your profile and to submit the results of the tournament matches you have played to that system. See the "Integration with External Tournament Systems" section below for details.
• Additional Personal Data: In the future, we may collect other personal data not listed above if it is necessary to improve user interaction and provide new application features. All such data will only be collected with your prior consent and used exclusively for the specified purposes. We guarantee that this data will not be shared with third parties, except as required by law.

We do not collect or process data not specified in this Privacy Policy without your prior consent.

3. How We Use Your Data

Collected data is used for the following purposes:

• Ensuring the operation of key application features, such as finding nearby players.
• Authentication and management of the user account.
• Improving the user experience and providing personalized features.
• Displaying your profile (including avatar) to other users to facilitate interaction.
• Matching your profile with a profile in an external tournament system and submitting the results of your tournament matches to that system.

We do not use your data for purposes not specified in this Privacy Policy without your prior consent.

4. Sharing Data with Third Parties

We do not share your data with third parties, except in the following cases:

• Submitting the results of the tournament matches you have played, together with the data necessary to identify them, to an external tournament or rating system, if your profile is linked to such a system. This transfer is carried out solely for the purpose of recording your match results and is described in more detail in the "Integration with External Tournament Systems" section.
• If required by law or a court order.
• If necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety.

5. Integration with External Tournament Systems

The application allows a player's profile to be linked to their profile in an external tournament or rating system (for example, the RTTF system; integration with other similar systems may be added in the future). Such a link is needed so that the results of the tournament matches you have played are correctly recorded in the corresponding external system.

When a link is established, we obtain and store the data associated with the specified profile: full name (last name, first name, and patronymic), year of birth, and city. This data is obtained from the corresponding external system or is provided by you or the organizer, and is used by us solely to match players and to submit their match results.

A link between profiles may be established in one of the following ways:

• By you personally. By specifying your profile in the external system or providing your data to register your matches, you thereby consent to the processing of this data and its transfer to the external system for the purposes described here.
• By the organizer of a tournament in which you participate. In order to record the tournament results, the organizer may link your profile to a profile in the external system on your behalf. In this case, the data is processed on the basis of our and the organizer's legitimate interest — to ensure that the results of the tournament held are recorded. When such a link is made, we notify you of it, and you may at any time object to it and unlink the profile (see below). The organizer may enter only the data received directly from you, and undertakes to use it exclusively for holding the tournament and recording its results.

A link established on your behalf is considered unconfirmed until you yourself confirm ownership of the profile. You may at any time unlink the external system profile from your account and object to our further use of the data obtained from it.

After you confirm your participation in a tournament, your data associated with the external system (full name, and, where available, year of birth and city) becomes visible to the organizer and other confirmed participants of that tournament — this is necessary for forming the line-ups and brackets and for recording the results. Before your participation is confirmed, this data is not shown to other participants of the tournament.

Data obtained from the external system is stored (cached) in our service and may be periodically updated from the external system in order to stay current. When a profile is unlinked, this data is deleted or anonymized, except for information necessary to preserve the integrity of match results already recorded.

Important: tournament results are the shared data of all its participants. By registering for and participating in a tournament, you agree that the results of the matches you have played may be transferred to an external tournament system in order to be recorded. As a rule, it is not possible to withdraw the transfer of results already played: removing them would distort the tournament outcome and affect the results and ratings of other players. Therefore, objecting to processing and unlinking your profile stop the further use of your personal data but do not cancel match results that have already been transferred.

If you do not want your identifying data to be transferred to the external system, and the external system allows it, the results of your matches may be transferred under a pseudonym (a conventional playing name that does not allow you to be identified) instead of your full name. The availability of a pseudonym depends on the specific external system and is not supported by all of them.

We transfer to the external system only the data necessary to identify the player and record their match results, and we do not transfer any other information about you there. The processing of data within the external system after its transfer is governed by the rules and privacy policy of that external system, over which we have no control.

6. Legal Bases for Processing

We process your data on the following bases:

• Your consent — when you provide data yourself (for example, email address, avatar, location) or link your profile to an external tournament system on your own.
• Performance of the service — processing necessary for the operation of the application features you use (authentication, participation in tournaments, displaying your profile to other participants).
• Legitimate interest — when the organizer links your profile to an external system on your behalf in order to ensure that the results of a tournament in which you participate are recorded. In this case, we balance this interest against your rights and provide you with the ability to object and unlink the profile.
• Legal requirement — when the processing or disclosure of data is necessary to comply with the law or a court order.

7. Minors

The application may also be used by minors — either on their own or through participation in tournaments to which an organizer adds them. We pay special attention to protecting the data of minors:

• the year of birth of minor users is not displayed to other users;
• a minor's data is processed only to the extent necessary for participation in the tournament and for recording its results, and with the consent of their parent or other legal representative where such consent is required by applicable law.

If you are a parent or legal representative and believe that a minor's data was provided without proper consent, please contact us using the contact details below — we will delete such data, subject to the limitations related to the integrity of tournament results that have already been recorded.

8. Data Storage and Protection

We take reasonable measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of data transmission over the internet or method of storage can be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your data is stored only for the time necessary to fulfill the purposes specified in this Privacy Policy or as required by law.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to your data.
• Request the deletion of your data (except for information we are required to retain to preserve the integrity of tournament results already recorded or as required by law).
• Restrict the processing of your data.
• Update or modify the data you have provided (e.g., email address or avatar).
• Unlink a linked external tournament system profile and object to the further use of the data obtained from it (bearing in mind that match results already transferred cannot be withdrawn — see the "Integration with External Tournament Systems" section).
• Request that the results of your matches be transferred to the external system under a pseudonym instead of identifying data — where the external system supports it.

10. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We may periodically update this Privacy Policy. All changes will be published in the application, and the last update date will be revised. We recommend regularly reviewing the Privacy Policy for any changes.
