How the ladder is played

Tables in order
The first table is the top one. After a game the winner moves one table up, the loser one table down. The goal is to reach the first table and hold on to it.

The players run the ladder
Who plays at which table and when to move, you decide on the spot. The organizer doesn't pair players or enter scores.

The players confirm the games
One of the pair records the game — right after it, or all the games at once at the end of the evening. The other confirms it on their side.

Into the rating at the finish
Confirmed games go into the rating when the ladder finishes — as a total for each pair or as entered. Unconfirmed ones become ordinary games and count a day after the finish unless rejected.
